North Bali · The forgotten coastline

North Bali villas, where the island slows down.

Four houses on the quiet north coast — three beachfront homes in Lovina and a seafront pool villa in the small fishing village of Bukti. Black-sand mornings, dolphins at sunrise, and the Bali Sea instead of the crowds of the south.

Antique joglo cottage · 2 guests

The Joglo by the Sea, Lovina

A simple, romantic beachfront joglo — a traditional Indonesian wooden house renovated with love and nestled in a 600 sqm beachfront garden. Black volcanic beach, swaying palms and rice paddies. The opposite of Seminyak.

Seafront pool villa · sleeps 6

Villa Seaview, Bukti / Air Sanih

A peaceful seafront residence in the quiet fishing village of Bukti. Private pool, large tropical garden and direct beach access with an unobstructed sea view. Calm, gently sloping water — ideal for families and long, slow stays.

Beachfront and seafront, never streetside

Every villa opens onto the sea — calm, swimmable water that slopes gently into the bay. No reef break, no scooter horns. Just frangipani, fishing boats, and a long flat horizon.

Dolphins at first light

Step onto a local jukung at sunrise and meet the pods that have followed this coast for generations. Back at the villa for breakfast before the heat rises.

Coral reefs, hot springs and waterfalls

Uncrowded dive sites sit just in front of Villa Seaview — snorkel directly from the villa, then dive the USS Liberty wreck at Tulamben or the Menjangan reefs. Soak at the Banjar hot springs and chase Munduk’s hidden waterfalls — all within an hour.

Frequently Asked

Planning your stay in North Bali.

How do I get to North Bali from the airport?

It's a three-hour drive from Denpasar. We can arrange a trusted private driver on request — this is not included in the stay and an extra fee applies.

What's the difference between Lovina and Bukti?

Lovina is the small main town of the north coast — three of our villas sit on its black-sand beach, close to warungs, dolphin boats and dive shops. Bukti is a quieter fishing village 30 minutes east, where Villa Seaview faces an even calmer stretch of coast.

Is North Bali a good base for diving?

It's one of the best in Indonesia. Menjangan, Tulamben and Amed are all within easy reach, with calm seas year-round.

Will I find restaurants nearby?

Lovina's beachside warungs are a short walk or drive from each villa. For longer stays we stock the villa and recommend our favourite cooks for in-villa dinners.
