One compound, two houses

The villa and the treehouse share a garden, and a door between them opens for groups. Together they sleep six across three bedrooms and three bathrooms — one address, two very different ways to wake up.

Central, and still quiet

Both houses sit behind hotels, 150 metres off Jalan Hanoman and ringed by jungle, facing a small river. Five minutes on foot to the Yoga Barn, the Monkey Forest, Coco and Pepito. No car, no scooter, no traffic noise.

Built for a month, not a night

200 Mbps Biznet fibre with a LAN cable at the desk, a washing machine, a full kitchen in the villa, and an infrared sauna in the compound. Long-stay rates from 28 nights, and 10% off for Yoga Barn teacher-training guests staying 15 nights or more.

Frequently Asked

Planning your stay in Ubud.

How far is the Yoga Barn?

Five minutes on foot. Both houses are at the bottom of Jalan Hanoman, Ubud’s wellness street — the Monkey Forest, Arma Museum, coworking spaces and over fifty restaurants are all walkable.

Which of the two should I book?

Samastiti Ubud for space, a full kitchen and a private infinity pool. The treehouse for two people who want to sleep in the canopy. Book both if there are six of you.

Are there stairs?

Yes. Twenty-five well-lit steps down to the villa, and about fifty to the treehouse. Worth knowing if mobility is a concern — ask us before booking and we’ll be straight with you.

Is it really quiet in central Ubud?

Unusually so. Most of our neighbours are hotels rather than houses, so there are no roosters or dogs at dawn — just the river and the birds, and occasionally an event at the Yoga Barn.

Do you offer monthly rates?

Yes — stays of 28 nights or more get our long-stay rate. Email info [at] samastitivillas [dot] com and we’ll quote you directly.

When is the best time to stay in Ubud?

April through October is dry and bright. November through March is greener, quieter, and our long-stay guests’ favourite season.

Is there parking?

Yes, but it must be pre-booked — tell us when you reserve.
